Biden named the "real U.S. president"

U.S. President Joe Biden joked during a speech on the government’s new pandemic strategy that U.S. Chief Infectious Disease Officer Anthony Fauci is so involved in the White House that he sometimes seems like the real president.

“I’ve seen Dr. Fauci more often than my wife, we banter with each other. Look who’s president? Fauci!” – Biden said.

Biden unveiled a new plan to combat the spread of the coronavirus in the country over the winter, and it does not include the possibility of a lockdown. His administration intends to emphasize increased testing and vaccination of the U.S. population against COVID-19.

The White House earlier reported that the U.S. is extending the mandate to wear masks in transportation until March 18 and introducing mandatory testing for coronavirus for all travelers arriving in the country within a day before departure beginning next week amid the spread of the omicron strain.
