Chinese auto giant BYD launches glass- and roof-less supercar in production

Chinese auto giant BYD has presented a concept sports car Super 9. The novelty, which has no roof and windshield, received stylish scissor doors. The car is presented under a new brand, which is positioned BYD as premium. The appearance of a luxury sports car can say that the company intends to produce interesting and competitive products in all segments of the car market.

From the information that the auto giant shared with the media, it became known that the supercar will be a two-seater, and the seats of the passenger and driver will be separated by a stripe. The steering wheel of the car resembles the helm of a combat fighter jet, and the seats are made of carbon fiber. The supercar itself is also assembled on a lightweight carbon fiber chassis. In addition, the car is deprived of front glass – the designers ensured the redirection of the rushing air flow upwards.

The ideas presented in the concept are certainly worthy of attention. In the near future we will be able to find out how successfully they will be realized in the serial version. To date, BYD has already reached the leading position in the industry not only in China, but also in the world. Statistics show that one fifth of all electric cars produced in the world are assembled exactly at BYD factories.
