Trump Wants Apple To Help Build U.S. 5G Network

US President Donald Trump urged Apple CEO Tim Cook to consider participating in the work on 5G communications technology in the United States. 

“During my visit yesterday to Austin, Texas, for the startup of the new Mac Pro, & the discussion of a new one $billion campus, also in Texas, I asked Tim Cook to see if he could get Apple involved in building 5G in the U.S. They have it all – Money, Technology, Vision & Cook!l” Trump wrote on Twitter. 

Currently, several countries are working on 5G communication technology. 5G network will allow to share information in real time at speeds over 10 gigabits per second, 30 times faster than 4G networks. 5G technology features high data transfer rate, large capacity and highly reliable connections with low latency, which allows, in particular, to provide mass connectivity of the Internet of things for a variety of tasks. 

In addition to the “Internet of things”, 5G networks are planned to be used in such areas as” smart “city,” smart “production,” smart ” home and transport. The use of technology should contribute to improving the level of service and the development of new services, including in the field of industrial automation, unmanned transport, remote medicine, virtual and augmented reality.
