Trump called for delaying the lawsuits against him until after the election in 2024

Donald Trump has called to postpone the proceedings initiated against him until after the election in 2024.

“Special Prosecutor Jack Smith has scheduled the start of one of the trials for January 2, before the all-important Iowa primary! Only a lunatic completely detached from reality could have chosen this date, the day after New Year’s Eve, and in such a way as to ensure maximum interference in the Iowa primaries,” Trump wrote in his social network Truth Social.

“Such a process should never have happened in the first place, and if it does, it should only happen after the election,” he continued. – The same should be done with other processes for the false accusations made against me by President Biden. This is election interference.”

Trump has previously faced criminal charges of financial fraud in payments to former porn actress Stormy Daniels, conspiracy in connection with the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021, and for mishandling classified documents. Charges are expected to be filed next week in connection with Trump’s alleged attempt to influence Georgia officials to revise the outcome of the presidential election.
