The number of coronavirus cases in the United States has exceeded 25 million
In the United States, the number of people who have contracted the coronavirus has exceeded 25 million, according to Johns Hopkins University, but according to experts, the real scale of the spread of the disease may be even greater.
About 417 thousand Americans have already died from Covid-19, and more than 4 thousand new diagnoses have been registered in the country every day in recent weeks.
Immediately after taking office, the new US President Joe Biden signed several executive orders to combat the coronavirus, including an expansion of the vaccination and testing program. He also urged Americans to wear masks-otherwise, he said, the number of victims of Covid-19 will be even higher.
“I want everyone to understand that before the situation improves, things will get even worse,” Biden said.
The United States has suffered from the coronavirus more than any other country in the world – both in terms of cases and deaths. In January, American hospitals had a record high number of Covid-19 patients, but in recent days, the rate of spread of the disease has begun to slow down: there are a few fewer new diagnoses and patients in medical institutions.
