Kamala Harris called the evacuation of U.S. citizens from Afghanistan a top priority
The priority of the United States at the moment is the evacuation of U.S. citizens, local residents who have helped Washington, as well as women and children from Afghanistan. Vice President Kamala Harris said this on Monday at a news conference following a meeting with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
“Our focus is on evacuating our citizens, those who have helped us, as well as women and children,” Harris said.
“This is a priority, yet a challenge,” the vice president added.
