Hairdressers and beauty salons will join vaccination in the United States

US President Joe Biden has announced a “National Month of Action” to accelerate the pace of vaccination against COVID-19, the Associated Press reports. He plans to provide at least one dose of the vaccine to 70% of the adult population of the country by the Independence Day on July 4.

According to the head of state, this summer America should return to the pre-pandemic lifestyle and experience “a summer of freedom, a summer of joy, a summer of meetings and holidays.” To do this, a powerful advertising campaign will be launched – people will be persuaded by First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, her husband Douglas Emhoff, as well as other government leaders, celebrities and bloggers.

In order for citizens to get vaccinated, they are promised a portion of beer, tickets to sports events, and in some places they launch cash draws. Also, 1 thousand hairdressers and beauty salons are connected to vaccination.

Recall that in May, taxi services Uber and Lyft, together with the White House, launched a campaign for those who want to get vaccinated: they started to take them free of charge to the vaccination point and back. In Ohio, a weekly lottery with a prize of $1 million was organized for the vaccinated.

For teenagers, another lottery was arranged: five winners were promised to pay for their studies at one of the universities.
