Women in the US army will be allowed to paint their lips, the media reported

The US Army will make changes to the requirements for the appearance of employees, now women in the US army will be allowed to collect their hair in long tails, make very short haircuts, wear earrings, as well as paint their lips and varnish their nails, writes the Hill newspaper.

The changes are based on the recommendations of various commissions, consisting mainly of female military personnel, the newspaper reports.

“This is one of the ways we work to improve the lives of our soldiers, our troops, by putting people first, understanding their concerns, taking action when necessary, and maintaining their highest level of readiness. Equality, inclusivity and diversity are very important for the readiness of the army, because we have soldiers from all walks of life … and we must represent them, so our army policy must promote equality and inclusivity, ” the newspaper quotes Lieutenant General Gary Brito as saying.
