Waya unveiled the design for the first city on water

A warming climate leads to a global rise in sea and ocean levels that will force millions of people to emigrate from the world’s largest metropolises. However, new luxurious and fully environmentally friendly mansions, which are not afraid of climate change, are already being prepared.

Pierpaolo Lazzarini, a famous Italian architect, has prepared an unusual project of the first floating city created from the size of pyramids aptly named Waya, inspired by Mayan and Japanese architecture.

The project, called Wayaland, could be realized in the next few years. The modules will be made of fiberglass, carbon and steel. Each could play a different role in the life of the floating city. The pyramids will be equipped with electric drives. The energy to power them and the entire city will come from wind turbines and solar panels.

It will cost about $4 million to build a small version of Wayaland’s city. One night in such a phenomenal home will be about $1000. Lazzarini is confident that his futuristic city will inspire construction companies to create such future cities.
