Trump Proposes A Candidate For The Post Of Commander Of The US Space Force

US President Donald Trump nominated General John Raymond for the post of Commander of the US Space Forces. 
“I am pleased to inform you that the president has announced a candidate for the post of head of the Joint Command of the Space Forces, Air Force General John Raymond,” said Pence, opening the regular meeting of the US National Space Council. 
US President Donald Trump in February signed a decree on the creation of the Space Forces to repel aggression and protect national interests in space. In Russia, they said that in this way the United States creates the prerequisites for the militarization of outer space with its intentions to use outer space for military purposes and Russia will have to respond to possible threats with mirror and asymmetric measures. 
Russia’s Army Chief of Staff, General of the Army Valery Gerasimov, called on military scientists to step up the search for and the introduction of means of countering possible military actions by a potential enemy in space and from space. 
In turn, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Gen Shuang that the United States, accusing China and Russia of allegedly creating threats in outer space, is actually looking for a pretext to justify its desire for military superiority and the development of advanced weapons.
