There was a shooting at a school in Nashville

A shooting incident occurred at a school in Nashville, Tennessee, with multiple victims. The city’s fire department said.

“We are responding to an unexploded gunman at a school on Barton Hills Boulevard. We can confirm that there are multiple victims,” the report said.

The shooter was killed in a shootout with police, the Nashville Police Department said. “Police have taken action against the assailant, who died as a result,” the police department said in a Twitter post.

Law enforcement officials have not yet clarified information about the fatalities or injuries. Local TV station WKRN previously reported at least three deaths, not including the shooter, in an earlier broadcast, but did not cite the sources of that information.
