The US has purchased another 200 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine

US President Joe Biden said the United States has signed a contract to supply another 200 million doses of the COVID-19 coronavirus vaccine.

“This afternoon, we signed a final contract for 100 million doses of the Moderna vaccine and 100 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine,” Biden said.

According to him, the delivery of the previously purchased 200 million doses was accelerated — they will be delivered by the end of July.

“In addition, another 100 million doses will be received not at the end of June, but at the end of May,” the American leader added.

Biden also clarified that ” the United States will have enough vaccine supplies to vaccinate 300 million Americans against the coronavirus by the end of July.”

Earlier, the American president promised to allocate $160 billion for measures to combat coronavirus infection, as well as funds for one-time payments to the population as part of the plan to save America.
