Team USA won the medal standings at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
The American athletes won 39 gold, 40 silver and 33 bronze medals.
Second place went to China with 38 gold, 32 silver and 18 bronze medals.
In third place went Japan with 27 gold, 14 silver and 17 bronze medals.
The Tokyo Olympics, postponed from 2020 to 2021 because of a pandemic coronavirus infection, ended August 8.
