The Pentagon reported a record C-17 flight

A U.S. C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft carried 823 passengers from an airport in the Afghan capital, a record for it. This was reported Friday by the U.S. Air Force.

“The U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster safely delivered 823 Afghan citizens from Hamid Karzai International Airport on Aug. 15, 2021. This is a record for this aircraft,” the command noted.

They said, “the initial estimate of 640 people mistakenly included only adults, with 183 children also on board.”
