Moderna recalls 765,000 doses of vaccine after finding foreign body in vial
Moderna, a drug developer, has recalled 764,900 doses of its coronavirus vaccine after a foreign body was found in one of the vials of the drug.
The unknown impurity was found in only one vial from a batch produced by Spanish pharmaceutical contractor Laboratorios Farmaceuticos Rovi (ROVI).
Moderna stated that it did not believe that the contamination posed a danger to other doses, and that the decision to recall the entire batch was made out of an abundance of caution.
