Metallica re-released the Black Album with covers of 12 songs
American band Metallica, in honor of the 30th anniversary of their Black Album album, unveiled two new compilations on Friday. The band’s official website features the Metallica Blacklist charity album and a reissue of Metallica (Remastered).
The site notes that Metallica Blacklist includes 53 covers of 12 songs from the Black Album. Performers include Miley Cyrus, Elton John, Igor Levitt, Phoebe Bridgers and others. The album, in particular, includes 12 covers of the hit Nothing Else Matters. It is available for purchase in several formats.
It is reported that the reissue of Metallica (Remastered), also known as Black Album, has worked to ensure maximum sound quality, adding song demos and concert recordings.
