Louisville shooting death toll rises to five

NEW YORK, April 11.

The number of victims of a shooting at an Old National bank branch in Louisville, Kentucky, has risen to five.

A 56-year-old woman who was injured in the incident died at the hospital. Earlier, four deaths and nine injuries were reported, including one police officer. Police also clarified the perpetrator’s age; he was 25 years old, not 23 as previously reported.

The shooting at the bank branch was carried out by Old National employee Connor Sturgeon, armed with an AR-15 rifle. He was neutralized by police at the scene.

President Joe Biden offered his condolences for the tragedy and urged Republican congressmen to reform gun control legislation.
