Intel unveiled a new generation of processors for personal computers
Intel Corp. on Wednesday unveiled a new generation of processors for personal computers at the Intel Innovation Conference. The announcement was made in a statement posted on the company’s Web site.
“Intel is releasing the first products in its 12th generation Intel Core family of microprocessors,” the statement said. It notes that the first six PC processors introduced will switch to the new DDR5 RAM model and will have PCIe 5.0 data connectivity.
The new generation of Intel Core will include 60 processors. It is noted that pre-orders for the new products begin Wednesday, and sales for the global market will begin Nov. 4.
