In the US, 83.7 thousand cases of COVID-19 were recorded per day
A record 83 thousand cases of coronavirus infection per day were detected in the United States, and more than 900 people with COVID-19 died, according to Johns Hopkins University, which summarizes data from Federal and local authorities, as well as the media and other open sources.
This was a record since July, before the maximum number of cases detected in the United States in July – more than 77 thousand infections.
According to the University, over the past 24 hours, 83,757 cases of infection were registered in the country, and 943 people died.
A day earlier, these figures were 71,671 and 856, respectively.
According to Johns Hopkins University, since the beginning of the epidemic in the United States, 8,493,747 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected, and almost 224,000 people have died. Almost 3.4 million infected people were cured.
