In New York City, a school bus was involved in an accident

A school bus was involved in a traffic accident in New York City. At least two people died. Dozens were seriously injured.

The bus was taking middle school students to a music camp in Greeley, Pennsylvania. There were 44 passengers on board. They were members of the school band and dance team accompanied by several adults.

Near the town of Wawayanda, a 30-minute drive from the destination, the vehicle swerved off the highway onto the side of the road and overturned. The victims of the accident were an orchestra leader and a teacher.

Five children are in critical condition. Also with injuries of varying degrees of severity hospitalized dozens of students.

According to preliminary information, the cause of the accident could be a wheel malfunction.
