In Kansas, they arrested a man who was preparing an assassination attempt on Biden

A Kansas resident was detained on charges of threatening to kill President Joe Biden. The detainee, Scott Merriman, stated that God had ordered him to go to Washington and “cut off the head of the serpent in the heart of the nation.

Kansas police had previously notified the Secret Service that a man had called them and said he was on his way to Washington to “see the president.” He told law enforcement officials that he was seeking the White House to tell Biden that people were “fed up with the divisiveness in the country and that he should turn to God.” Merriman also made several posts on his Facebook page using “increasingly threatening words.”

Secret Service agents detained him in a restaurant parking lot as he drove from Kansas City to Maryland. The man was found in possession of a loaded magazine and a spotting scope.
