Flooding in New York City

The streets of New York were flooded as a result of prolonged and heavy rains. Transportation was disrupted, buses were partially interrupted, and some subway lines were closed. The work of LaGuardia International Airport in Queens was significantly reduced.

More than 8 million people live in the flood zone. Residents of the affected areas are asked not to leave their homes. Announcing the introduction of the emergency regime, New York Governor Kathy Hokol warned of new heavy precipitation.
