Citroën has turned the Ami electric car into a nice buggy SUV
The new concept car from Citroën My Ami is based on the popular Ami mini electric car. The designers added some elements to the novelty – in particular, more voluminous tires, LED lighting and removable cloth doors.
Mini electric car is designed for fans of hiking, it can be managed even by a ten-year-old child. Camping design emphasizes camouflage decor – a combination of khaki, black and yellow colors. Doors are no less important detail. There are two versions of My Ami – without doors and with removable canvas doors with zippers, which provides the necessary air circulation and an attractive appearance.
Other innovations include an LED lighting panel, a removable speaker, a sun hood on the roof, and a graphic package that includes illumination with the inscriptions “Pilot,” “01” and “Co-Pilot” and “02” above the driver’s and passenger’s seats. The seats, in turn, are filled with a layer of volumetric foam, which has the effect of “memory” of the passenger’s body configuration.
My Ami can reach speeds of up to 45 km/h and travel up to 70 km on a single charge from a 5.5 kW⋅h battery. Such characteristics allow teenagers as young as 14 years old in France and other European countries to drive mini-buggies.
