U.S. President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 test on Sunday was negative. Deputy White House Press Secretary Carine Jean-Pierre said this on Monday during a briefing aboard the U.S. president’s plane.
The U.S. president is headed to Glasgow, where the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is taking place.
“The test was to comply with the conditions of entry into the United Kingdom” and participation in the Glasgow conference, Jean-Pierre stressed.
On Sunday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki reported that her test for COVID-19 was positive. For this reason she did not travel with Biden to Europe.
