Biden will require unvaccinated federal workers to wear masks
U.S. President Joe Biden will require federal workers who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus to wear masks and take tests, the White House announced.
“The president will announce today that to protect workers and the public, all federal government employees and contract workers working at its facilities will be required to declare what their vaccination status is. Anyone who does not show they are fully vaccinated will be required to wear a mask at work regardless of geographic location, distance themselves from all employees and visitors, comply with the once-a-week or twice-a-week testing requirement and will be subject to restrictions on official travel,” the White House reports.
Private businesses will be urged to follow the same rules. There are about 4 million federal workers in the United States.
