Biden announces new restrictions on coronavirus

U.S. President Joe Biden announced new restrictions on the coronavirus.

According to the U.S. president speaking at the White House, all federal employees who have not been vaccinated will be required to wear a mask, distance themselves and submit to coronavirus tests.

“Experts believe COVID cases will continue to grow,” Biden said. He said 90 million Americans have not been vaccinated, even though they are eligible.
Biden also said that an additional dose of the vaccine is not needed yet.
“My medical advisers say no: no American needs a booster right now,” Biden said.

He said the vaccination issue is not a political one because the use of vaccines was approved under a Republican administration and began to be widely used mostly under Democrats.

“America is blessed to have a vaccine for all Americans … It’s a shame that we’re wasting that advantage,” Biden said.
