Biden says the U.S. will start actively promoting clean technology in the world in 2022

The United States intends to begin working aggressively to promote clean technology globally in 2022. U.S. President Joe Biden emphasized this when he spoke Tuesday on the sidelines of the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26) in Glasgow at an event that focused on accelerating technological development.

“Innovation is key to our future. That’s why the United States is working to quadruple funding for clean energy research and development over the next four years. And we will lead the way with a year of action – in 2022 – to advance clean technology globally,” Biden said.

Speeches by heads of state and government during COP26 take place at the Scottish Exhibition Center on the banks of the Clyde River. The summit concludes today. But the conference itself, which began Sunday, will run through November 12, with delegations from nearly 200 countries, some 120 of which are represented at the highest level.
