Artemis Technologies has developed Escape, a luxury hydrofoil floating cab

Belfast-based startup Artemis Technologies has developed a luxury water cab for inter-island travel. Called Escape, it meets all the requirements of ecologists and is highly energy-efficient. The company previously specialized in the production of hydrofoils.

It is equipped with all-electric propulsion system and its design makes the boat look like some kind of fantastic vehicle. The development is aimed at business class customers.

The Escape is capable of reaching speeds of up to 35 mph. It has a range of 65 miles on a single battery charge, carrying a dozen passengers and two crew members. The hull has been designed to meet increased aerodynamic requirements, which ensures low noise levels and minimal keel trails. A full battery charge is achieved in just 60 minutes. The cabin is comfortable and sheltered from wind and spray.

The emergence of the Escape has two goals – to provide passengers with a comfortable way to travel distances over water and to have as little impact on nature as possible. It is likely that this water cab will serve as the basis for the future standard of marine passenger transportation through a combination of thoughtful design, high technology and compliance with environmental trends.
