Apple hired two Mercedes engineers to develop the Apple Car

Dr. Anton Uelmann joined the company in September of this year as a product design engineer in Apple’s Special Projects group.

Uelmann, who holds a doctorate in mechatronics, was previously a steering systems engineer at Mercedes-AMG from January 2018 until last month. And before that, he spent nearly six years working on steering systems at Porsche.

MacRumors also reported on a second unnamed former Mercedes engineer who also recently joined Apple.
