A fence is being erected around the Capitol ahead of Biden’s annual address to Congress

A fence is being built around the Capitol in Washington ahead of U.S. President Joe Biden’s annual State of the Union address to Congress on Thursday.

The host of the program Jesse Watters rebuked the administration of the American leader that this fence is not being built on the southern border of the United States, where there is a huge influx of migrants. “Biden thinks he needs protection from U.S. citizens while he can’t protect you from migrants,” Watters said.

In their annual addresses, presidents outline their vision of the situation in the country, summarize the activities of their administration over the past year, and outline the priorities of domestic and foreign policy (the main emphasis is traditionally placed on domestic issues). Their speeches are considered as programs of legislative activity of the Congress.

The situation with illegal migration has been the subject of disputes between the southern states and the federal government for several years. The most tense situation is in the state of Texas, which is headed by Republican Governor Greg Abbott, who advocates tough measures to curb illegal migration and speaks out against the policy of the current U.S. administration in this matter. Fighting the influx of illegal immigrants, Abbott began sending them by bus to major American cities, including Washington, D.C., New York and Chicago.
