YouTube will make it easier to turn off ads

Google intends to introduce a new subscription option for YouTube, the only function of which will be the disabling of advertising. It is reported by The Verge with reference to the video hosting.

The service is called Premium Lite. It includes ad-free viewing in YouTube’s web version, as well as in iOS, Android apps, smart TVs and game consoles.

The subscription does not include other Premium features, such as background playback, offline video downloads, or options available with a Music subscription.

For now, this feature is available in test mode only in a few countries in Europe, where Premium Lite is offered for 7 euros per month (a full subscription costs 12 euros).
