Health risks of remote work revealed
Those who work at home during the coronavirus pandemic may have a sore throat, scientists from Trinity College in Dublin have come to this conclusion, according to the Daily Mail.
The authors of the study found that this is due to the fact that employees have to raise their voices to be heard during online conferences in Zoom.
Of the 1,575 participants in the study, 516 reported throat problems, while 86 percent of them stressed that they had not experienced such problems before the restrictive measures were introduced.
As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, many people around the world have started working from home, rather than from the office. The change of workplace has led to an increase in the use of video communication technologies, which many organizations have begun to use to communicate with “remote” employees.
The coronavirus pandemic has reached almost the entire world. Almost 60 million people have already been infected, of which about 1.4 million have died. Most cases of infection were recorded in the United States, India and Brazil.
