In Texas, seven people were killed when a car struck pedestrians

At least seven people were killed in a hit-and-run accident outside a homeless assistance center in Brownsville, Texas.

According to law enforcement, six other people suffered varying degrees of injury. The driver of the car has been detained and is currently in the hospital and is being tested for blood alcohol or drugs.

Investigators have not yet commented on whether the hit-and-run was intentional.
