The White House announced that French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Washington in early December for his first state visit during Joe Biden’s presidency.
Macron’s visit is scheduled for Dec. 1, after the U.S. midterm elections.
Macron has also made state visits to the U.S. under President Donald Trump.
Such visits include a lavish welcoming ceremony on the White House lawn, numerous meetings with the president and a lavish state dinner in honor of the visiting leader.
