Netflix officially announced the second season of The Squid Game

The script for the second season of the popular South Korean series “Squid Game” is in the works. That’s according to a letter from director Hwang Dong-hyeok, published on the streaming service Netflix.

According to his information, the main character and the antagonist of the first season will return to the screens. Viewers will be introduced to a number of new characters.

No release date is given.

“Squid Game” has been recognized as Netflix’s most successful show. In the first four weeks since its release on September 17, 2021, viewers have devoted more than 1.65 billion hours to watching the series. The film is about a secret survival game in which people whose lives have come to a standstill risk their lives for a huge monetary reward.
