Google donated $35 million to help refugees from Ukraine

Google has allocated $35 million to humanitarian organizations to help refugees from Ukraine. This was announced by the director of Google and Alphabet Sundar Pichai on Tuesday at a press conference after a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“Google has so far invested over $35 million to help refugee-supporting organizations, including $10 million in grants to non-governmental organizations helping refugees arriving in Poland,” Pichai said, informing also about new grants for refugees with disabilities and grants for Polish NGOs that organize humanitarian aid.

Since February 24, 2.34 million refugees from Ukraine have arrived in Poland from Ukraine. The Polish authorities estimate that 1.7-1.8 million people have remained in Poland.
