New York City will open more than 40 new vaccination sites because of the "Omicron" strain
New York State Governor Kathy Hokul announced the deployment of an additional 40 coronavirus vaccination sites amid a winter surge and to combat the spread of the new “omicron” strain.
“Governor Kathy Hocul has announced the deployment of more than 40 new vaccination sites throughout New York State to combat the winter surge and the rapidly spreading omicron strain,” the release said.
The sites will begin opening as early as Saturday.
“The winter spike is in full swing, but we are not defenseless. We have the tools to fight this virus and its strains: get vaccinated, revaccinate and wear masks,” Governor Hokul said.
