U.S. oil inventories rose by 2.3 million barrels over the week
Commercial oil stocks in the USA increased by 2.3 mln barrels last week and reached 420.887 mln barrels as of October 1, according to the US Energy Information Administration.
At the same time, analysts polled by Bloomberg expected reserves to rise by 1 million barrels.
December futures for Brent crude oil on London’s ICE exchange fell 2.03% to $80.88 per barrel, while WTI crude was down 2.17% to $77.22 per barrel.
