2023 was the most successful year ever for U.S. casinos

U.S. commercial casinos received more than $66 billion from players in 2023, which was the best year ever for the gambling industry.

This was revealed by new industry data.

The American Gaming Association said the figure was 10% higher than in 2022, which was also a record year.

Revenue figures for tribal-owned casinos will be released later this year. They are expected to show that overall, casino gambling brought in about $110 billion dollars to their operators in 2023.

In-person gambling remains the industry’s main source of revenue. For example, slot machines brought in more than $35 billion, a 3.8% increase over last year’s figure. Table games generated more than $10 billion, up 3.5% from last year’s figure.
