Triton 660 AVA – a luxurious nine-seater bathyscaphe for diving enthusiasts

Triton’s range of submersibles, which includes a 24-seater tourist submarine, a comfortable bubble submarine that makes underwater excursions to the sunken Titanic, and a deep-sea elevator capable of repeatedly descending to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, will be joined by the Triton 660 AVA submersible.

The new vehicle is based on an oblong “bubble,” which Triton claims is the industry’s first free-form acrylic hull to withstand high pressure. Thanks to the stretched shape of the bubble, there is space on the sides to accommodate additional passengers. At the same time, the dimensions of the Triton 660 AVA are no larger than two jet skis, which is ideal for storage in the garages of large superyachts or cruise liners.

Sleeping nine people (pilot and 8 passengers), she will be able to dive to a depth of 200 meters and take 12-hour underwater trips, thanks to her 57-kilowatt battery, four main engines and four 5.5 kW thrusters each with a speed of over 5.5 km/h.

The company guarantees passengers a “unique experience” (apparently at a very high price): the sub can be used as a cocktail bar, VIP casino lounge, wedding venue or underwater restaurant.
