The XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo are declared open

Emperor Naruhito of Japan, head of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach and head of the organizing committee Seiko Hashimoto officially announced the opening of the XXXII Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

After opening speeches by Bach and Hashimoto, the floor was given to the Emperor of Japan, who officially announced the start of the Games.

The Summer Olympics in Tokyo will be held from July 23 to August 8.
