At the end of the seventh day of the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the U.S. team is in third place in the medal standings.

American athletes have 14 gold, 16 silver and 11 bronze medals.

China leads the medal count with 18 gold, 9 silver and 11 bronze medals, followed by Japan with 17 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals.
