Tesla hires volunteers to train Optimus robots

Tesla has announced an unusual competition to select candidates to participate in the creation of Optimus robots. In time, these robots should replace live workers on assembly lines.

The goals of Elon Musk, as always extremely ambitious – to increase with Optimus capitalization of the company to $25 trillion. As reported by Business Insider, Tesla will first create a small number of robots for its needs, and then in 2026 will begin their mass production.

The main duty of the selected volunteers is to wear a motion capture suit and a virtual reality headset while performing certain actions. Candidates must be in good physical shape, as they will have to work for 7 hours a day, carrying a load of almost 14 kilograms.

To “fit” the suits and feel comfortable in them, volunteers must be at least 170-180 cm tall. Optimus’ height will leave 142 centimeters. In the duties of the project participants – to move as in normal life, while collecting, analyzing the information received and making reports.

Candidates will have to work on a flexible schedule. Pay ranges from $25 to $48 per hour plus bonuses and benefits.
