Candidates for the presidency of the United States in 2020, Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden may be “too old” for this work, said Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
“Having a president who is somebody our age — or older, in the case of Sen. Sanders — I think it’s problematic. I think that you don’t have the kind of energy that I think is required to be president. I’m not sure you have the intellectual acuity that you might have had in your 60s. It’s just a personal view.”
Sanders is 77 years old, and Biden is 76. The current president Trump is the youngest among them – he is 72 years old.
April 25, Former US Vice President Joe Biden announced that he intends to participate in the presidential elections in 2020.
Democratic senator Bernie Sanders also confirmed that he intends to fight for the presidency.
