Republican election debates without Donald Trump
The second pre-election debate of the Republicans took place in California. Seven candidates for the nomination argued, in particular, about migration policy and assistance to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the favorite in the race for the Republican Party nomination, former President Donald Trump, ignored the debate, speaking in Daytroit to auto workers the day after U.S. President Joe Biden.
According to the latest polls, Trump is supported by 58% of Republican voters.
The debate featured Florida Governor Ron Desantis, former U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations Nikki Haley, Senator Tim Scott, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, former Vice President Mike Pence, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum.
