However, what exactly the head of Tesla means by lying, he did not specify – but reported on the upcoming August 8 presentation of a robotaxi equipped with a system of fully autonomous driving. The idea of its creation appeared five years ago at the same time with the announcement of the Cybertruck.

Speaking about the budget electric car, the serial production of which was scheduled for 2025, Musk was referring to the Model 2 under the code name “Redwood”. The company plans to produce 10 million electric cars a year. He backed up the seriousness of his intentions with the words, “we will spend the night on the assembly line, but we will achieve our goal.”

Tesla and its management will have to solve two serious problems in the near future: to overcome the decline in demand for its electric cars in the U.S. (8% year-on-year) and to withstand competition from fast-growing Chinese automakers, such as BYD, whose sales grew by 13% last year.
