NASA released stunning posters of the future Artemis II mission
New images of the equipment that will be used by NASA for the Artemis II project have appeared on the Web. The posters show a large image of the astronaut’s spacesuit and helmet. The pictures are impressive, but for now they can only be used as wallpaper on a smartphone screen.
Another important news was that NASA had finally published the names of the astronauts that would go to the moon. The list includes three residents of the United States – Reid Wiseman, Christina Hammock Koch and Victor Glover. Canadian Jeremy Hansen will fly with them. Amusingly, none of them could make it to the announcement ceremony without being late. The mission is scheduled to launch in November 2024, but it does not involve a landing on the surface of the moon.
The spacecraft with the astronauts will fly around the natural satellite and return to Earth. The epic return of humans to the moon is scheduled for late 2025, and the Artemis II mission will allow for the necessary experience and work out various details to make the flight safe and productive.
