Man shot ex-girlfriend’s horse over suspicions of infidelity

Sean Braden Jones, 24, of Idaho, shot and killed his ex-girlfriend’s horse over suspicions of infidelity. He faces up to five years in prison.

The incident occurred in February, a week after the couple broke up. The victim’s horse was kept on the farm of the young man’s father, where the girl came to see him. After catching the ex-boyfriend intoxicated and hearing accusations of infidelity, she left the farm, after which Jones shot the animal four times with a rifle.

The 12-year-old horse named Bree had been in the possession of the victim for nine years, its value was estimated at $10,000. Jones now faces a $1,000 fine and up to five years in prison.
