Kamala Harris will announce a U.S. vice presidential contender in early August
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, now considered the most likely candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, will announce her running mate in early August.
She will choose someone with whom she is comfortable and who would be willing to become president if necessary.
The name of a potential vice presidential candidate is expected to be revealed in the next two weeks. Among the contenders, the channel singles out Kentucky, Pennsylvania and North Carolina governors Andy Beshear, Josh Shapiro and Roy Cooper, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly and U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Bouttejage.
