China has imposed sanctions on two U.S. defense companies

China made the rare announcement of sanctions against two U.S. defense companies, accusing them of supporting arms sales to Taiwan.

Beijing considers the self-governing island part of its territory and allows the use of force to reclaim it.

The imposition of sanctions against General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and General Dynamics Land Systems means freezing their assets in China.

In addition, their management is banned from entering the country.

General Dynamics reportedly operates several Gulfstream business jets and business aviation services in China.

General Atomics manufactures the Predator and Reaper drones used by the U.S. military.

General Dynamics is also involved in the production of Abrams tanks, which are purchased by Taiwan.
